the purpose

Hello to all those who may or may not live a chaotic life. All though my little life may not seem so chaotic to some, to me, I wonder how I my Sweets (Sweet #1, 4 years old; Sweet #2, 18 months) make it to the end of the day, snugly in their beds.
I LOVE to cook. But I have recently struggled to uphold this relationship with shrill cries and a 20 lb. body clinging to my leg, and a broken record, REQUIRING immediate response, repeating "mommy do this, mommy help me, mommy I need, mommy mommy mommy..." all as I prepare dinner.
I try to find my happy place as I cut the chicken and mix the sauce. "It matters, it matters, it matters" I look into the lovely, and sometimes not so lovely faces of my Sweets and say this over and over. It would be so easy to do mac n'cheese every meal, or cereal, or bagged chicken nuggets, but one thing drives me to continue... IT MATTERS.
What goes in those little bodies matter. More than any other group in the human race, children (babies, toddlers, and kids) need the best quality of food. Ever organ, bone, musscle...EVERYTHING in their body is growing on a daily basis and what do they need to do that?? REAL FOOD!! So my goal is to do as much good as I can with what I can and when I can. That being said, I love treats, I love to go get dinner or lunch and love my girls to have fun with food, even junk food!!
